A less drastic example of simplification was the kriegsmodell which merely removed or simplified features of the K98 such as removing the bayonet lug. This became the Volkssturmkarabiner 98 or VK-98. Later in the war, the Germans needed a weapon that could be produced more quickly for the Volkssturm. One exception is the Polish resistance which use the K98 and other captured weapons during the Warsaw Uprising. Ingame the weapon is used by German riflemen, engineers and tankhunters either equipped with a type of Panzerfaust, Molotov Cocktail or Geballte Ladung. Ingame the rifle has multiple accesories such as two scopes, a silencer, though the only instance with two at once is with an low-power optic and silencer. It was shorter, had a stepped barrel like the G98, a side postioned sling, a compact turned down bolt handle, a wide lower band and a tanged leaf rear sight. This weapon was the 3rd carbine version of the WW1 Mauser rifle, the Mauser Gewehr 98 or G98. It was designated as a carbine (Karabiner) but it was in actuality a short rifle. The Mauser Karabiner 98 kurz (often abbreviated as Kar98k, K98, or K98k) was the German standard handweapon of the infantry. Unknown High Power Scope type from Bf1942/FH (see pic)
